Mission Statement
Our mission is to:

foster professional relationships for teachers through semi-annual meetings, newsletters and social media.

strengthen the position of Classics in the curriculum of schools and universities throughout New Jersey.
- provide continuing education opportunities promoting best practices in teaching.
- stimulate interest in the classical field for both teachers and students.
- sponsor and administer:
- the Edna White Rome Scholarship to the American Academy Rome Summer Session
- the Maryann Steward Scholarship for study/travel within the United States
- record through NEW JERSEY LATIN INSCRIPTIONS PROJECT the use of Latin on buildings, monuments and documents throughout the state
